> A keyboard, not working in a laptop motherboard problem can be due to many reasons.
> The actual concept behind keyboard working good is the proper communication between EC or SIO or KBC controller and Keyboard connector which is connected to the keyboard.
> The Bus (Group of wires) connecting keyboard and EC or SIO or KBC controller is through a keyboard connector on the laptop motherboard.
> In this case, some keyboard buttons were not working so we dismantle the laptop and checked for any physical damage.
> When the motherboard was checked it was observed that on the keyboard connector one connector pin connecting the keyboard to the EC or SIO or KBC controller was in broken condition. As can be seen from the pic given below.
> Due to which proper communication was not possible between Controller IO and keyboard.
> So, this required the replacement of keyboard connector. But fortunetely or unfortunetely we didn't have the keyboard connector of Hp pro book G3 model in the stock.
> So, we did the trick or jugaad that you can observe in the pic given below. We provided some paper (Our institute visiting card cutting in this case) between the male & female part of the keyboard connector.
> This established the connection between the broken contact of the pins and keyboard started working properly.
> This trick or jugaad is possible only if u know the actual concept of the keyboard working in the laptop motherboard.
> The concept is that the communication between the keyboard input and the SIO (Controller IO) is done via a connecting BUS which displays the typed keyboard button.
> As the connector pin was damage the communication was not proper which caused some keys of the keyboard not working.
